except Sundays, featuring a selection of contemporary Art Felts by me and invited artists Ann Ross, Mairi Campbell, and Jenny Mackay - The culmination of three years' work.
August 1st - 5th Scottish Felters Summer School at Braeport Community Centre, Dunblane - offering a
choice of 10 different workshops, including workshops tutored by me - 'One-piece Nuno Garments', an intuitive approach to creating wearables (2-days), small group; 'Illuminating Felt' (1-day), an exploration of Translucence v Opacity for a lamp project; 'Sculptural Felting (2-days), exploring a variety of low relief and free-standing felting techniques. October 1st - 30th 'Water Marks', themed exhibition by the Scottish Felters at Birnam Arts Centre. Open daily 10.00am - 5.00pm, and in the evenings when there is a Concert on. Sunday 9th October, 2.00 - 4.00pm 'Meet and Greet' and 'Drop-in Felting Session for all!
October 19th 'Drawing and Painting with Wool', Day School with the Ayrshire Embroiderers Guild at the Community Centre in Caeraverock Road, Prestwick, when we shall be using needle-felting and wet-felting techniques.

February 4th - 9th: 'Fancy Feet and Magic Mitts' - An opportunity to create your own imaginative boots and slippers, fingerless gloves and mittens to keep you cosy in the Winter
March 16th - 18th: 'Nature in Felt' - Inspired by Gartmore and its surroundings capture the the magic of Nature into Felt panels, using wet and dry felting techniques
April 8th - 13th: 'Felting Rainbows' - Discover the magic of Colour through Space-dyeing with wool and silk prior to felting into sculptural neckwear using 'Shobori' techniques
May 4th - 6th: 'Wizards and Wood Nymphs' - Creating fabulous figures from myths and legends, using dry felting methods
June 9th - 15th: 'Gartmore in Felt' - Explore the architecture, its woodlands and gardens through photography and sketching, and develop them into either a completed project or a series of small-scale pieces
August 26th - 31st: 'Nuno Garments with Flare' - Explore the possibilities for creating light-weight garments that can be worn in many different eciting ways, using 'Nuno' felting methods
September 28th - 30th: 'Hats and Bags' - Create your own original hat and matching bag, using seamless felting methods
October 21st - 26th: 'Keepsake Fibre Books' - Create an original book that is a reminder of a special occasion, a memorable holiday, favourite poem, or a significant person. Using felting techniques, it is possible to create pockets, flaps and folding pages, personalizing further with apertures, writing and digital transfer printing - thus making a true gem
November 30th - December 2nd: 'Illuminating Felt' - Explore the translucent qualities of handmade felt with flowers, leaves and grasses, or fabrics and fancy yarns, to create lamp covers
